Many years ago a young man completed our youth pastor internship and began searching for a youth pastor position. We were shocked to encounter churches that offered to hire him on the first phone call sight unseen. He was offered jobs without submitting a resume, a statement of faith or references. How would you feel if we did this here at Grace? How would you feel if we hired a youth pastor after one phone call? Moms and Dads, how would you feel sending your junior high and high school students to be taught by a young man we knew nothing about?
