It was Pentecost, 30AD. Jerusalem was overflowing with devout Jews and proselytes from Israel and abroad gathered to celebrate the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). The Apostles of Jesus were in Jerusalem as well. Before returning to heaven, Jesus commanded them to wait in Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit. About 9AM, Sunday morning, May 28th, 30AD, the Holy Spirit came with a bang.
