I have options as to what I could take for my headache...Skittles, Laundry detergent, or Ibuprofen. Why take the Ibuprofen? Because it has been proven to work! When it comes to who we will trust with our eternal salvation there is one who has been proven trustworthy, and there are thousands who can and have been proven to be false saviors, gods, ideologies. Due to the fact that dealing with our eternal salvation is of far greater concern than dealing with a headache, wouldn’t we want to know that what we are placing our trust in is solid?
